Heather Clark, MS, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Heather Clark has more than twelve years of progressive leadership experience in operations, human resources and talent management. As the current CHRO of Huntzinger, Moosic PA, she is responsible for all human resource functions inclusive of employee relations, benefits and compensation, legal compliance and performance management. In addition, she leads the Talent Acquisition function.
Heather is honored to have held various positions within NEPA SHRM since 2013 when she first began as a Board of Director and Foundations Committee Co-Chair responsible for raising money for the SHRM Foundation. As current chapter President, she is serves amongst an outstanding board of directors comprised to support and advance the local HR community. She is responsible for presiding over activities of the officers, directors, and committees, and ensuring short and long-term goals are met for the chapter. NEPA SHRM continues to meet many important milestones she is very proud of, including being awarded the Excel Platinum Award for their contributions to the field of human resources.
Heather actively participates as a member of the PA SHRM State Council. She is a member of the SHRM A-Team and the Leadership Wyoming class of 2021. Heather volunteers for several other non-profit organizations. Heather holds both her SHRM-SCP and her SPHR. She is a graduate of Misericordia University, holding a Master’s of Science in Organizational Management and Human Resources. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science from Marywood University in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
Doug Hertel, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Doug is an experienced Human Resources leader and instructor. He has over 30 years’ work experience in a variety of businesses, including the last 6 years as the HR Manager for the Michaels Stores’ Northeast Regional Distribution Center in Hazleton, PA. He is also an Adjunct Instructor for Penn State University, delivering the SHRM Learning System and SHRM’s HR Essentials curriculum at their Scranton, PA campus.
He currently serves as President-Elect for NEPA SHRM, supporting a talented Board of Directors and helping to elevate the HR profession in the local region through programming and networking opportunities.
Melanie Andreoli
As a Human Resources consultant, Melanie does more than create policies. With 20 years of HR generalist experience, she’s obsessed with helping companies innovate new ways to create people programs that employees find engaging and effective. Melanie believes that the employee experience is not only a fundamental part of organizational success, but is also the building block of delivering a stellar customer experience. Her wheelhouse is designing, building, and enhancing HR functions for entrepreneurial organizations. She also helps clients as a strategist, trainer, coach, and sometimes therapist.
Melanie has a B.S., with honors, from Marywood University and an M.A. from Columbia University, Teachers College. She lives in Northeast PA, where she is Mom to creatures two- and four-legged, as well as a wife to a very patient man. She is a Yankees superfan, an interior design enthusiast, and a novice landscape designer. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Keystone College in LaPlume, PA. She escapes it all by retreating to her tiny home office, which houses her extensive collections of books and photographs.
Sharon Brodie, SHRM-CP
Sharon is an experienced Human Resource Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry. Skilled in ADP Payroll, SAP Success Factors, Labor and Employee Relations, Leadership, Recruiting, and Interviewing. Strong human resources professional with an associate’s degree focused in Business Administration from Luzerne County Community College.
Sharon has been employed with UGI Utilities, Inc. for the past ten years. UGI is a natural gas and electric utility who employees approximately 1,700 employees at 31 locations across Pennsylvania. She is responsible for 12 locations with a total of 227 employees and aid 4 other locations.
Recently she received SHRM – CP certification which she believes will help her to grow in the H.R. field. She is a determined individual who strives for success.
Sharon currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Diamond City Figure Skating club where she has been a Board member for the past 4 years.
Regina Corchado, SHRM-SCP
Regina was named Director of Human Resources for King’s College in August 2019. She is responsible for development and implementation of policies and best practices necessary to maintain a positive, supporting and fair working environment. She is responsible for strategic HR planning, HRIS systems, compliance initiatives, benefits, compensation, talent management and employee relations. She is also the Title IX Coordinator and serves on the College’s Emergency Management Team.
Regina has held several roles in human resources during her professional career at large for-profit and non-profit companies. She has extensive experience in recruiting entry level and executives for each company she has worked for including Pepperjam and the Home Depot. She has overseen the implementation of numerous wellness and employee engagement programs, and has developed successful internship programs in the past.
Prior to joining King’s College, she was the Sr. Manager of Human Resources at Maternal and Family Health Services. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Victim’s Resource Center, and on the Student Advisory Committee and Professional Development Committees for NEPA SHRM. She is a graduate of King’s College, has been a member of national SHRM since 2003 and earned her SHRM-SCP in June 2017.
Michelle Alexis McGough
For nearly 25 years, Michelle McGough has been a leader in Human Resources. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work from Kutztown University, she entered the business world to explore her passion for industrial, organizational, and behavioral psychology. Michelle joined SHRM in 1996 while working as an HR Generalist and obtained her master’s in Human Resources Administration from the University of Scranton in 1999.
She takes pride in her professional contributions from serving in local, regional, and global HR leadership roles for companies such as Lockheed Martin, Amazon, Armstrong World Industries, and TE Connectivity. She currently works as an independent HR consultant deploying practical approaches focusing on people and processes.
Michelle has been honored with awards for her contributions to Diversity/EEO Programming, Project Management, and Leadership Excellence. Her affiliations have included United Way, Dress for Success-South Central PA, HRC PA, YWCA-Carlisle. Recently, Michelle joined the grass roots efforts of the NAACP Organizing Charter committee of Lackawanna County. When she is not busy advocating for others, Michelle is an avid reader, loves shopping, enjoys the company of family, and friends, and resides in Archbald with her wife, Colleen.
Marni Sherrill, SHRM-CP
Marni Sherrill is a lifelong resident of the greater North East Region of Pennsylvania and a 2014 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke PA. Marni enjoys developing strong relationships and networks both professionally and personally. She is goal orientated and has a passion for engaging and motivating employees.
Her love for Human Resources began in 2005 when she was working as receptionist for a medical company. Her hard work, dedication and passion for this field made her the leading candidate for the Director of Operations at an Insurance Company where she oversaw all Human Resources and Accounting functions.
Throughout the years with each new company she gained invaluable experiences and continued to develop a career in her chosen field. In 2011, while working as a Finance Manager for a Distribution Company she decided to return to school after only completing a year and half previously. She continued her education with a focus on Management and Human Resources. While working full-time, Marni went back to school part-time earning a degree in Business Management in 2014.
In June of 2017 she accepted her most recent position, Human Resources Manager and Accountant for a Manufacturing company based out Hanover Twp. Marni’s drive to never stop learning rang true this past May where she studied and earned her SHRM-CP certification. She is a member of the NEPA SHRM Professional Development Committee, the Wilkes Barre Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network and sits on the Community Leadership Committee at Johnson College. She desires to become a strong and valued leader in Human Resources
