What are your favorite hobbies?

Favorite hobbies are camping, spending time with my family, and watching real crime.

Why did you choose a career in Human Resources? 

I did not choose a career in HR, it chose me. I helped run our family’s business for 15 years before we closed and was HR/Operations all in one. I found a job as an accounting clerk with the company I am with now and transferred to a full-time position working with the HR Director and when the position became vacant, I found myself finishing my bachelor's degree and obtaining both my PHR and SHRM-CP to fill the position.

What is your current job / career?

My current job is HR Director at Federal Hearings and Appeals Services, LLC.

What is your greatest personal accomplishment?

My greatest personal accomplishment is finishing college with honors after 20 years of starting and stopping to raise a family.

Why did you choose to join NEPA SHRM?

I joined NEPA SHRM to connect with others who can offer me guidance and to meet colleagues who have the same interests as I do.
