    Applicant Biographies (alphabetical order by last name)

    1. Julian Beck

    Julian Beck is a senior Human Resources leader and current Plant HR Manager at Plaskolite’s Scranton manufacturing facility.  He brings over ten years of experience across retail, manufacturing, and logistics, previously serving as a District HR Business Partner at Lowe’s supporting multiple sites across NEPA and Southern Tier NY.  Julian’s wheelhouse spans employee engagement, leadership development, change management, employee relations, staffing, and compliance.  He’s known for blending practical, people-first partnership with data-driven insights that connect strategy to results.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for NEPA SHRM, has taught HR and Employment Law as an adjunct at King’s College, and is a proud graduate of the University of Scranton’s HR master’s program.

    Julian focuses on building simple, people-centered HR systems that drive measurable results. He’s passionate about connecting HR and technology to make work easier, strengthen leaders, and enhance employee experience.  His approach is practical, clear, and outcome focused.

    Outside of work, Julian is NEPA-rooted and community-minded.  He’s into CrossFit, live music, paintball, and all things tech/AI.  He values growth, impact, and curiosity and brings a genuine, down-to-earth energy to every team he supports.

    1. Kimberly J. Ecks

    As the VP, Human Resources Management, Kim is responsible for overseeing all HR functions for the Dime Bank’s 9 branches & Support Center Offices.  It is important for Kim to be a strategic business partner to her customers, the employees.  Kim is relatively new to the area, having moved to Pike County in 2021 from NY State.  Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in business & has over 25 years of professional HR experience for both the Hospitality & Automotive industries having spent the last 2 years at Woodloch Resort and 15 years prior with both BMW of North America & BMW of Financial Services.

    1. Nicole Gitkos

    Nicole Gitkos is the HR Manager at North Penn Legal Services, overseeing human resources for a team of 92 staff across multiple locations in Pennsylvania. With over 10 years of experience in HR, Nicole brings expertise in employee relations, talent management, policy development, and organizational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in HR Management from King’s College.

    In addition to her professional role, Nicole is committed to community engagement and leadership development. She recently graduated from the CORE Class of Leadership Northeast (June 2025) and was selected to serve on the Resource Development Committee for Maternal Family Health Services. Nicole is passionate about fostering inclusive workplace cultures, supporting professional growth, and creating meaningful connections that make a positive difference in people’s lives.

    1. Princess Morrison

    Princess Morrison is a high-impact, dynamic Human Resources Professional with a proven commitment to strategic HR leadership. Based in Scranton, PA, Princess brings nearly two decades of experience across the higher education and health and human services sectors. She is currently the Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator at Abington Heights School District, where she serves as the Equity Officer, Title IX Sexual Harassment Officer, Affirmative Action Officer, Equal Access Officer, and Child Abuse Compliance Officer.

    Princess is known for her ability to align human capital strategies with organizational goals to drive efficiency, foster a positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement.

    Why Princess is an Ideal Candidate? Princess' unique background makes her an ideal candidate for the NEPA SHRM Board. Her deep expertise in Policy, Procedure, & Systems Design, combined with experience administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements, provides a robust foundation for organizational governance. Furthermore, her history of leading diversity and inclusion programs and demonstrating compassionate employee engagement ensures she can contribute to a forward-thinking and supportive chapter environment. 

    1. Jeanette Papiercavich

    Jeanette has been immersed in the human resources field for a little over 15 years. She has direct HR experience in retail, non-profit health care, for profit health care, logistics (3PL), non-profit health care/graduate medical education and most recently manufacturing, which seems to be her forte. Jeanette is interested in joining the board as she has been active with NEPA SHRM since 2017 thanks to a colleague. She loves what she does and believes it makes a difference in the lives of employees (her customers) when you are living a profession that does not feel like work.
