2025 Election Bios

    Vice-President, Membership: Melissa Sharp, SHRM-CP

    As Manager of Human Resources, Melissa Sharp works closely with management and employees to implement human resources policies and programs, manage employee relations and development and partner with business leaders at Esquire Deposition Solutions, a leading national provider of remote and in-person court reporting, video, translation, transcription, interpreting services, and deposition summaries for law firms, insurance companies, and corporate legal departments supporting more than 200,000 depositions annually. With Esquire since 2023, Sharp is currently responsible for human resources in key areas of the business: Sales, Field Operations, Fulfillment Services and Complex Litigation Fulfillment.  Melissa has over 20 years’ experience in both management and human resources roles across the technology and legal industries. A SHRM-CP certified member of the Society for Human Resources Management since 2018, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing from Bloomsburg University and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from the University of Arizona Global.  She currently resides in Drums, Pennsylvania, with her fur-baby, Ruby and her husband, Keith.

    Vice-President, Finance: Brooke Lipperini, SHRM-SCP

    Brooke Lipperini has over 15 years of professional experience in Human Resources, primarily in manufacturing organizations.  Currently she is the Senior Human Resources Manager at the Chewy location in Jessup, PA.  Prior to that, she was the Regional Manager, Human Resources at CANPACK US, a manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans, where she led the HR team through two greenfield start-up facilities.  Brooke is passionate about culture, engagement and developing emerging leaders and HR professionals.  Brooke holds a SHRM-SCP certification and has been awarded the Veterans at Work Certificate by the SHRM Foundation.  Brooke has served on the NEPA SHRM Board of Directors since 2017 and currently serves as Board Secretary.  She also sits on the Board of Directors of Skills in Scranton, the workforce development affiliate of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.  Brooke lives in Olyphant with her husband (Rob), two sons (Daniel and Ethan), three dogs (Remy, Olive and Pepper) and cat (Roxy).

    Secretary: Regina Corchado, SHRM-SCP

    Regina currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for King’s College where she is responsible for human resource planning, including HR information systems, compliance, organizational design, benefits and compensation analysis, talent management, and employee relations. She has held several roles in human resources during her professional career at large for-profit and non-profit companies. She has extensive experience recruiting entry-level to executive level employees for each company she has worked for including Pepperjam and the Home Depot. She has successfully overseen the implementation of numerous wellness and employee engagement programs. Most recently she was the Senior Manager of Human Resources at Maternal and Family Health Services. She is a recipient of a bachelor’s degree from King’s College and holds her SHRM-SCP. Regina has served on the NEPA SHRM board since 2021, serving as the Chair of our Student Relations Committee.

    Board of Director Seats

    Sharon Brodie, SHRM-CP

    Sharon is an experienced Human Resource professional with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry. She is skilled in ADP Payroll, SAP Success Factors, Labor and Employee Relations, Leadership, Recruiting, and Interviewing. Sharon obtained an associate degree focused on Business Administration from Luzerne County Community College and has been employed with UGI Utilities, Inc. for the past ten years. UGI is a natural gas and electric utility who employees approximately 1,700 employees at 31 locations across Pennsylvania. She is responsible for 12 locations with a total of 227 employees and assists at 4 other locations.

    Sharon recently earned her SHRM – CP certification which she believes will help her to grow in the H.R. field. She is a determined individual who strives for success and has previously served on the NEPA SHRM Board of Directors. During her absence from the Board, she has continued to play an integral role with the Professional Development Committee. Sharon also currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Diamond City Figure Skating club where she has been a Board member for the past 4 years.

    Rebecca Gordon

    Rebecca Gordon has worked in the Human Resources field for over 16 years and holds a Bachelor's degree of Business and Communications, focused in Human Resources, from Penn State University. As the current Human Resource Administrator of The Huntzinger Management Group, Inc., providing Healthcare IT advisory, managed information and consulting services, Rebecca has a diverse administrative role and enjoys serving as a liaison between employees and management regarding company policies, practices and regulations. Human Resources allows Rebecca to use her upbeat personality to foster positive employee relationships, while also showcasing her strengths in detail orientation and having strong problem-solving skills to help shape company success. Rebecca has been a SHRM member since 2013, a NEPA SHRM member since 2017, and currently volunteers with two of NEPA SHRM’s committees. Rebecca resides in Falls, PA with her husband Jeremy and two wonderful pups, Monte and Archie.

    Katheryne Hait

    Katheryne is currently the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Education Programs for Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance. Katheryne’s leadership is underscored by a commitment to inclusivity and lifelong learning. She holds multiple certifications in leadership and workforce readiness and has a proven track record of enhancing organizational performance through her expertise in human resources and compliance. Katheryne is also the founder of Compliance Quad, a consultancy focused on occupational health and safety standards and remains an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Through these endeavors, she continues to champion initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and a resilient, skilled workforce.

    David Hollander

    David is currently the Director of Human Resources and Corporate Procurement for Maid-Rite Specialty Foods in Dunmore, PA.  In this role, he oversees all aspects of Human Resources, Corporate Procurement, Contracts, and Security. David has been in this role for 15 years and prior to this was the Director of Human Resources for a company in Reading, PA.  He has been a member of SHRM for as long as he can remember and is actively involved in the local community.

    David currently serves as the President and Chairman of the board of Temple Israel of Scranton. He is also the immediate past president of St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen and is the chair of its Long-Range Planning Committee. He is the co-chair of the 2024-2025 UJA campaign and is on the Jewish Federation Board of NEPA as a Board of Trustee and serves as a Holocaust Teen Symposium Facilitator, to name a few.  David is a Scranton native and a graduate of the University of Scranton.  He is married with three children and resides in Moscow, PA.  In my spare time, he is an avid runner. 

    Christine M. Jensen, SPHR®, CWDP, SHRM-SCP

    Christine M. Jensen is the Site Administrator of the Pennsylvania CareerLink® Luzerne County, overseeing offices in Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton. The CareerLink is the region’s largest employment and business services agency in Luzerne County, assisting both job seekers and employers. Ms. Jensen directs and coordinates all functions and operations of the Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton PA CareerLink® sites in alignment with the state Workforce Investment Board’s strategic plan, the local Workforce Investment Board plan, and the PA CareerLink® Site Plan. Prior to joining the Pennsylvania CareerLink, Ms. Jensen served the City of Wilkes-Barre as its Human Resources Director for twenty-one years. In that capacity, Ms. Jensen managed a unionized workforce of over three hundred employees, administered collective bargaining agreements for four bargaining units, administered salary and benefits for 700+ employees and retirees, served as the Plan Administrator of insurances, and managed multiple health insurance plans for employees and retirees as well as the City’s self-insured workers compensation program. Ms. Jensen’s work experience includes the negotiation and administration of dozens of labor agreements between the City of Wilkes-Barre and its four labor unions. She has testified at scores of hearings including grievance and interest arbitration, unfair labor practice, unemployment and workers’ compensation. She has valuable knowledge and experience in the litigation of employment issues, including discrimination, family leave, disability, workers’ compensation and wrongful termination cases. Ms. Jensen has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Catholic University of America. She has maintained her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification since 1997. Ms. Jensen also holds her certification as a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

    Victoria Karp

    Victoria Karp is an accomplished HR Manager at Weis Markets, currently managing a multi-unit District to include 22 locations & over 2000 associates. With a background in human resources and organizational development, Victoria brings extensive experience in recruitment, employee engagement and performance management. She has dedicated her professional career to her current company and has 22 years of employment with Weis Markets and has worked to obtain her Bachelor’s degree throughout this time.

    At Weis Markets, she is responsible for implementing HR programs that promote a positive work environment and drive employee retention. Victoria is also known for her commitment to training and development, ensuring that employees have the tools and support they need to excel in their roles. Her leadership and strategic insights contribute significantly to the overall success of the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    Victoria is a current member of SHRM and NEPA SHRM and is looking forward to bringing her skills to help enhance the chapter.  After attending the PA SHRM conference, she has discovered her passion for SHRM and networking with other Human Resource professionals.

    Kellie A. Knesis, MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

    Kellie is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 30 years’ experience in areas such strategic human resource planning, staffing, performance management, compliance employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits as well as HRIS. Kellie received her BS in Human Resources from King’s College and holds a MS in Organizational Management from Misericordia University. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute as well as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) from the Society for Human Resources Management. Kellie earned a Certificate of Completion from Wharton’s Executive Development Program and is currently employed by the Wright Center for Community Health as Chief Human Resource Officer. Kellie previously worked in various HR roles for Frontier Communications (formerly Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises) and Mercy Health Partners. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Scranton as well as Misericordia University. Kellie is currently completing a six (6) year term as NEPA SHRM’s VP of Finance and has chaired various committees.

    Stacey Nybeck

    Stacey Nybeck is the Chief Operating Officer at Serve, Inc., a non-profit agency serving individuals with disabilities. Having started her career at Serve over 30 years ago, she has achieved her present status as COO as a result of obtaining her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business Management while working full-time and raising two fine young men. Stacey’s career began as an Administrative Assistant, evolved to Human Resources and Finance Director.  She has achieved the C-suite status through hard work, willingness to self-improve and the development of others. In the last few years, she has become a Maxwell Certified Coach and Trainer. She serves as a guest speaker at annual conferences at both the PAR Solutions Conference and the RCPA Conference lecturing on leadership topics including DEI, generational diversity, contagious leadership, and leading through crisis. Stacey has also provided youth leadership courses for local school districts. She uses her human resource and financial skills through volunteerism as well, serving as a board member for Grace Christian Academy, Community Foundation of the Twin Tiers, and serving as President of the Northern Tier Providers Association. She regularly adds value to others through Serve employee personal growth and leadership trainings and working with other local non-profits.
