What are your favorite hobbies?

Watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football. I am a Special Olympic Golf coach. I am also the President and coach of the Lackawanna Challenger Little League

Why did you choose a career in Human Resources? 

I believe that HR professionals have a unique perspective into the businesses they work for due to the nature of their jobs. Not only do we have a strong understanding of our organization’s priorities and challenges, but we also have the ability to influence the future of the company based on the decisions we make.  Additionally, I feel that as an HR Professional, we can have a profoundly positive impact on the employees we support.  The daily duties of our jobs make employee welfare and happiness a matter of professional responsibility.

What is your current job / career?

I am the Managing Director of Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition at FedEx Freight Inc.

What is your greatest personal accomplishment?

Raising two sons, one with special needs, to become outstanding young men.

How long have you been a member of NEPA SHRM?

I believe for about 10 years or so.

Why did you chose to renew your membership?

I find value in being a member in terms of resources, networking, making both professional and personal connections, as well as professional development.
