Why did you choose a career in Human Resources? 

I had no idea what I wanted to do until my senior year of college.  I chose Industrial Psychology as an elective and it clicked.  What you do for a living is a core part of identity.  If you are unhappy at work, odds are that will spill over to other aspects of your life.  I saw Industrial Psychology (and by extension, Human Resources) as an opportunity to help large groups of people enjoy their lives just little bit more.

What is your current job / career?

Director, HR Programs and Analytics for Chewy.  In short, I am responsible for improving the Team Member experience through implementing various projects and programs. The other part of my job is to figure out how to measure them.

How long have you been a member of NEPA SHRM?

Since 2019, but I haven’t been terribly active (beyond webinars).  I hope to carve more time for group’s in-person activities.

Why did you chose to renew your membership?

The NEPA SHRM team does a fantastic job in putting together relevant content.  I’ve been impressed with the leadership team and the members I’ve met thus far.
