What are your favorite hobbies?

I enjoy running outside and walking any of the trails in NEPA! My favorites are the Dunmore
Reservoir, the Heritage Trail, Lake Scranton, and Ricketts Glen. Usually I’m walking my highly
excitable chocolate labrador, Charlie Brown, and more recently now my 5-month-old, Alison.

Why did you choose a career in HR?

I originally chose Public Relations as my career and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Mass
Communications. After I graduated, I wasn’t happy in the job I was in and I wanted to continue
my education in a business-related degree. I completed the online Master’s program at the
University of Scranton and started working at Benco Dental as an HR intern.

What is your current job / career?

I am currently a Senior Talent Specialist at Benco Dental. My responsibilities include
recruitment, onboarding, performance management, associate relations, and talent analytics.
I’m also a subject matter expert in our HRIS system (Workday) and project manager for
performance/talent-related initiatives.

What is your greatest personal accomplishment?

Personally, I’m proud to be establishing myself in the NEPA area. I moved here 6 years ago to
live with my boyfriend – now husband – and didn’t know anyone (nor really know what I was
going to do here)!
